You will have the opportunity to have about 4 hours worth of quality training, see the full range of equipment and moulding that Lion offer, and to network with others from the industry. This is a fantastic opportunity and I think you will benefit far more than you imagine. Yes, I know it will cost money and time for travel and hotel, and it will be an exhausting day, but go for it, and get to all the seminars, it will be well worth it. Plus you get a goody bag!
So far over 300 framers have pre-registered!

I think you would find the visit to Lion hugely beneficial. Not only will you get to listen to the speakers but having the chance to browse round their warehouse and have a look at all the machinery is very educational. And not forgetting… meeting all the other framers is very educational as well (but maybe in a different way!

)
I know I’m only 2 hours from Birmingham so its easy for me to say but I wouldn’t bother staying in a hotel I would just head home after – but then I don’t mind the driving.

I can’t make the Lion event due to work commitments.

Are there any other framing events that members know of and would recommend?

Its a no brainer GO !!
You will be blown away by what you learn.
Its not a cost - its an investment!
Then tell us next week what you learnt - but please keep it to one page of A4 !!

Fraggle,
Keith is right. It's a no brainer. Definitely go to learn some stuff that will make a difference to your knowledge and your business.
I've travelled 8000 miles to Las Vegas and Anaheim in the past few years just to go to conventions to learn and I've been in this industry for 25 years! Travelling a few hours is a breeze.

This newb will be going. I'm working in Lowestoft from tomorrow so it's sort of on the way back. Should be interesting, and I need to pick up some bits and pieces anyway.

From all 3 of us here at Blackhall Framing Gallery we hope it is a fantastic success for Lion and everyone who is attending. We won't be there, 10 hour return journey, but we will be there in Spirit.

I Note from the reverse of the Lion Update 2010 that there is going to be a framers forum meeting point. However, helpfully they've misspelled the forum address
oops!

If anyone arriving at Birmingham Airport Sunday morning would like a lift into Lion I'll be going past about 9:20 and will happily pick up 3 of you.
PM me if you're interested and we can arrange a meeting point in one of the terminals.
