I remember the feeling you described. In my earlier days 94/95 when I was around the corner from Berkeley Sq I used to get tonnes of work from Sotheby's one morning I got, one folder original drawings from Picasso (pen and ink on the back of a menu) Klimt pencil line drawing , you could still see the graphite glistening, a Matisse and a powerful Egon Schiele drawing of a young boy. " Just remount them and put them back into their plain wooden (stock) frames " BUT ... BUT ...BUT ...UMMMM OKAY.

but it's not all frustration some of my customers let me loose sometimes! HA HA HA :devil: :devil:

this one was an original pen and ink by EH Shepard only 35mm square, used for a title page . the leaves were a compo pressing from a block I used to have 23.5 ct water gilded on an mdf base( :oops: ) all archival internals though.

A bit ott maybe but if your the emperor who's to argue!
