Oh come on. Who's the onlly singer/songwriter who could get away with
"I hid my yo-yo in the garden"?

...apart from Peter Gabriel.
8)

btw. previous clue should be:

"you look too small, in their big black car".....dumdiddydumetc

3:13 would fit nicely in the Mog 4 series.

Still haven't twigged 3:7? (That's not a clue) Too easy for clues. :P

There must be more music heads out there. It would be really cool if you posted a quiz round or three. (Pretty please??? With sugar on the top???????)

After the initial idea struck me, I found it was quite difficult to actually think of songs from which to select a lyric snippet, so I started with the "theme" thang. Once I chose a theme, that helped me to focus on songs, and the rest came naturally. Example below... It's a biggie.... and spans at least 4 decades of music and a variety of genres, so hopefully there's something for everyone. :)

Mogster's Mega Music Mix Round 5: Theme - Boys and Girls

m5.1 - Following the herd down to Greece.... on holiday
m5.2 - Come, they told me....(ba-rum-pum-pum-pum)
m5.3 - The answers you seek will never be found at home
m5.4 - The pipes, the pipes are callling
m5.5 - I must confess I've been hanging round your old address
m5.6 - I really dig those styles they wear
m5.7 - Maybe if I act like....that, pushing my blonde hair ... back
m5.8 - Don't believe in fear, don't believe in faith, don't believe in anything that you can't break
m5.9 - They solemnly convene to make the scene
m5.10 - But you make the patients worse, and the doctors know you're bad
m5.11 - There are some things you can't cover up with lipstick and powder
m5.12 - If you don't take her out tonight, she's going to change her mind
m5.13 - Toot toot - hey - beep beep!
m5.14 - Let me make your broken heart like new
m5.15 - Laughing and a-runnin' (hey, hey), Skipping and a-jumpin'...
m5.16 - When it's cold outside, I've got the month of May.
m5.17 - Cooler than ice-cream and warmer than the sun
m5.18 - Now here you come a-knocking, knocking at my door
m5.19 - They tried to tame you, looks like they'll try again
m5.20 - So shed those dowdy feathers and try.... a little bit
m5.21 - She's a big girl.... she's standing six foot three
m5.22 - They'll never clone ya!
m5.23 - You don't know what you've been a-missin'
m5.24 - They say he wandered very far, very far, over land and sea
m5.25 - Told them you were living downtown, driving all the old men crazy
m5.26 - Good guys, they make rules for fools, so get wise
m5.27 - They dressed him up warmly and they sent him to school
m5.28 - Out on the road tonight, I saw a deadhead sticker on a Cadillac
m5.29 - At school they taught me how to be so pure in thought and word and deed
m5.30 - You are my life, my pride, my joy
m5.31 - The grebos ... the crusties ... and the goths
m5.32 - I'm on my knees, forgive me please
m5.33 - There's a weapon that we can use in our defence ... silence
m5.34 - We've come a long, long way together, through the hard times and the good
m5.35 - I don't have to prove to you adults can be kidding too

Here endeth my weekend! :) Answers next weekend. Even if you don't submit a post, keep a list of your answers for the craic, and see how well you fared! (The Mogster misses her quiz nights in 'nam!)

OMG. I'm doing an all-nighter so I'll keep having a squiz between frames.......

I'll give you 3:7

I'll give ya a bit longer on 3:9......

Song is about a scientist in the 1930's who was working on wheather control, in the perspective of his young son. His efforts incurred the wrath of the powers that be and he was scooped up by the spook squad. Hence the big black car. Video is very clever. Looks like clips from an imaginary movie starring Donald Sutherland. The artist in question plays the young boy in the vid. Where the yo-yo comes in Im not sure. :?

Confused? You will be

Re "Confused?" got it now, plus recognised the accompanying vid from your description. Not one of my faves from La Bush. However, I love this(great track, and visually stunning video, apart from the daft suit - needs Quicktime, btw, and depending on your bandwidth it can be worth downloading completely before play.) It's one of her 'growers'...
