Looking for alternative moulding
We've been asked to match some frames that we have previously made for a customer unfortunately the moulding has been discontinued by both Arqadia and Simons. This link below shows the Arqadia version and Simons code was 2000/0058.
http://www.arqadia.co.uk/productdetails ... =266101005
I need about 6 metres to make two 16x20 frames. Does anyone know of anything similar from another supplier?
Any help would as always be much appreciated.

Have you looked at the Argyll range from Mainline? Might be a good alternative.

Re: Looking for alternative moulding
Thank you Tudor Rose and Ricky. Both of the options are narrower at 38 mm but certainly worth looking at. I'll have to ask Ricky to send me a couple of samples
Robo thanks for your suggestions. They are not on that page in my A&T catalogue but that's probably because it's from the dark ages. I'll speak to my local A&T rep, thanks.
Once again the forum provides answers when you need them, thanks guys.

You'd probably find it on their website but the catalogue's a PDF so you'd have to scroll for it - easy enough to find the right section first though.

Re: Looking for alternative moulding
Cheers Robo, good idea. Actually the 158.48 on page 40 might be closer, the shape is certainly nearer. Waiting for the rep to get back to me, thanks.

Re: Looking for alternative moulding
Pescara range from Centrado (01480 4454800) comes in 33, 44 & 78mm widths.
But it is top quality and will be priced much higher.
I used to use some of that range from Arqadia and have a few packs of the mount slip I am now stuck with as I cant get the matching mouldings anymore

Re: Looking for alternative moulding
Thank you Robo for pointing out our profiles. Looking at the Arqadia profile, I would say that our 93023 section is the nearest.
The 93023.1107 is a bronze, 1109 is a dark silver, and the 1110 is a light gold.
Simon will be in touch soon.
Regards,
Phil.
