Post by jmdwilson »

Hello

Can't seem to find any supplier with this moulding - someone can help me maybe - thanks
Looks possibly like outer moulding then slip.

Judging by the sticker, and the look of the moulding, i'd say that was an American one, or two as it looks like it might be stacked? Might not be available here in the UK

Thanks Alan, yes it's two mouldings by the looks of it & yes it's American.(photo from American client)
Just wondering if there's something close to it over here?

Looks American to me too. I don't recall seeing anything quite like it over this side of the pond.

If the customer absolutely must have it, then you could try http://www.thegrumble.com/index.php (US forum) to find out the moulding ref and supplier and if it's still available, maybe they can ship over the chopped lengths. Shouldn't be too expensive. :? Failing that, I'm sure if there are any Grumblers who have that moulding they will chop and send.

They are a very helpful bunch. :D

I'll post the pic on the G if you like. Save you the trouble of registering.

Fantastic knew you'd come up trumps. I'd prefer it to be black as mount is black.
Don't usually use Simons if I can help it - tried to look at their website but pretty poor....
Will ask them to send a sample & ask for price.
thanks all

Have ordered sample but Simons couldn't tell me if there was a slip that worked with it - as in photo.

Have asked Simons rep to get in touch but meanwhile if there's someone out there with catalogue & could give me slip info & price that would be great thanks.

Thanks Jamie you're a star - exactly what I'm looking for - especially as it'll save cutting a slip
Thanks also Prospero for your suggestions & offer - will bare in mind the grumble for any future enquiries.
