The valiani is a 2003 model with the fantastic end trimmer (a £450 + vat extra when it was new) which is used to cut the outside of the mount to size before cutting the mount.
The machine works well, has some scratches on the bed which do not effect the operation and are caused when some fool sets the depth for 2mm mountcard and forgets to put it back for 1.4mm
The head sometimes sticks a bit on corner 2, but pressing the "out" button a couple of times, or "helping it" with a pull sorts it out and becomes second nature. I've never bothered to find out why as it isn't really a problem.
If you search utube you can find some vids of these machines in operation, they work great, especially for double mounts (as per one of my pictures).
If you would like to come to Yorkshire, I'll give you a demo, and if you buy it ill give you full tuition, which would only take an hour at most.
I've also got about £60 worth of brand new blades, enough for about 3000 mounts!
You will need to have. A compressor, people recommend a bambi silent, or you may already have one for your underpinner?
