Joining skinny slips

Everytime I have to join one of those spindly, skinny slips I tell myself there must be an easier way to do this... so now I'm asking, what's a good way? I'm talking about the sort of 4mm deep, 10mm wide things like SL1 from Rose&Hollis.

3mm v-nails?

Or failing that, Superglue. Most times you just need to hold it in alignment while you assemble. It doesn't really need to have a lot of strength in the join.
Often you don't really need to join them. Depends on the application, but if you are using it as a spacer under a frame rebate and you cut it neatly then they will stay put. A bit of shimming with a bit of thin card if you need to jiggle the alignment. A lot depends on the width of the slip re. what proportion of the width is sticking out beyond the rebate edge.
