Hi,

Got a few Pocket Watches to frame in DR Box frames but struggling to find anything suitable to mount them with.

Anyone know if there are any commercial mount clips etc (like for tennis/golf balls etc) or offer any other ideas.

In the long distant past, I used be a keen racing cyclist and as a result I know that you can get stop watch clips to secure a stopwatch, or a pocket watch onto your cycle handlebars.

Most consist of two parts made from spring steel, which are secured together by a screw and thumbscrew nut. This screw and nut also enables the clip around the handle bards to be tighten so that it does not move and prevents the watch for popping out of it's clip if you happen to hit a bump, or pothole in the road.

If you discard the part which clamps onto the handlebars, you will be left with a nice neat clip to hold the pocket watch and there is a conveniently placed hole for a mounting screw concealed behind the watch.

I'd use a shaped melinex mount, just like in the last post in this topic http://www.thegrumble.com/showthread.ph ... cket-watch
