That image was never actually in the frame. I 'shopped it in for a framing pun competition.

Is the outside frame a running pattern or compo laid on?

Nice frame Tim! What is the leaf used? The outer moulding looks like one from the Winther Brown/ Richard Burbridge range perhaps? :clap:

the outer leaf is compo
we took a cast and re carved it from an old frame

the inner bead is from an original Victorian mould and the punch work with two sizes of steel nail punch

the pattern was drawn freehand and then traced onto the frame.

it was good to make. quite a challenge
