Never used this before - can you cut from either side? Is there a front and a back insofar as the face that presents itself to the outside of the frame when fitted.

no, it's coated both sides.

sorry didn't answer fully, the kids were playing up a bit.

It is coated both sides, you can put it in the frame any side up, same goes for cutting it.

you need to apply the right amount of pressure while cutting as it can spit more than normal glass, and if it does it can be a pain to get the bits off.

You also need to clean it very well if you get finger prints on it, I use latex gloves while handling and cutting, often it does not need cleaning at all if done this way.

It's only the Tru Vue UV products that have an inside and an outside regards cutting and viewing sides and that information is printed on the edge of the sheets.

Wessex do an Artglass Clear View @ £37 / sheet - an AR with some element of UV and at that price it's my next stop perhaps - has any one used it?

I've used the Artglass Clear View. It's now the standard glass I quote for and only return to normal float glass if price is an issue.
Reflection wise the difference is quite clear for the customer to see, and worth the extra for most of them. I explain that it only has 65% ? (I'm not in the workshop so I don't have the figure handy) UV protection, so if something is of great value I tell them it might be worth considering something with a higher UV factor.

Oh, and glass sheets are slightly smaller than normal (again don't have sizes handy) so that has to be taken into account when working out cost and wastage.
