Taking the plunge!

No, I'm not getting married (did that 34 years ago!! Kate thinks she needs a medal). After 4 years trading from a workshop at home I made an offer on the lease of a shop and it has been accepted! Just need to get the lease drawn up and signed. Hope to get the keys beginning of July and open for business as soon as possible after that. I will be visiting the shop tomorrow morning to spend a couple of hours taking photos and precise measurements to ensure the layout is the most functional while also allowing sufficient space for customers. I intend to have a counter of some sort to separate the 2 areas but want to have the workshop visible to the customers, it will also mean I have to keep it tidy!

Whilst it is exciting there is also an amount of trepidation; this will be a complete departure from my previous career (of 35 years). But both Kate and I fully intend to make this as successful as possible.

Well done, don't keep the work area too clean and tidy , you'll show the rest of us up :giggle: also if it's a bit messy it will look like you are busy, well that's my excuse anyway

Many thanks for the words of support. The list of things to do and think about is getting bigger and bigger!
