where to source box moulding

Post by kanch »

Hi, I want to frame an oil painting on canvas, the customer wants the picture made much bigger, rather than the standard insert with the outer frame. I know I can put a frame around the canvas, which will then be attached to painted board, which will have a block outer frame.

I know what way I want to frame the piece, but I am having a problem sourcing the correct moulding. I usually purchase my mounding from Arqadia, but I can't find the right moulding.

The mouldings need to be barefaced, with the outer moulding having a deep inner (I don't mean the rebate), so that the inner frame doesn't sit out further that the outer.

I hope this makes sense to someone, & if you could steer me in the right direction, I'd be grateful.

Regards

Errrrr...... I think I know what you are driving at.

Rose & Hollis (020 7272 5551) have a big selection of unfinished mouldings.
