Finished this for a customer a few weeks ago. It's my first slightly complicated job on my new Gunnar F1 hybrid a got a few weeks ago. Sorry about the reflections...I tried to talk the customer into AR glass but he didn't want to fork out the extra £.

Very nice did you make a sub frame at the back for the extra depth?

Nope. Used an extra deep rebate. Thought I'd have to do something on the back to make a bit more room but they just about fitted with about a 3mm gap between the caps and the glass.

Looks like you guys got to grips with the Gunnar very quickly. I assume you imported the Mclaren wording/logo as a vector graphic? How long did it take you to get the wording right to ensure single lines for accurate cutting ? Love the overall look of the framed pieces, looks fab.

Great job!

My default method for anything like this is to do away with apertures around them, all the cutting would be done on the back mounting board but this I like and I'm not sure why :? Maybe the contrast between backing mount and aperture mount drawing my eye to what it's supposed to be drawn to.

One question... You've got the caps (pun intended) in "McLaren" right, why are they not in the drivers' names?
