Fixing double glass into frame

Post by countrystudio.co.uk »

Can't find what I am looking for so can someone please tell me the best way to secure the following into a frame so that it looks tidy when viewed from the back
Glass, mount, old photos, mount (to read notes on back of photos), glass.
Many thanks

One easy way is to cut a mount same size as your glass and then cut a window big enough to show all the info on the back of your photos and then place over the glass and secure with rigid points and tape up as normal.

If the moulding is deep enough I like to hold everything in place with some painted stripwood screwed into place and then use strap hangers so there isn't any cord in the way.

Well I would use plastic on the back, so nail/picture pin/ hook in the wall does not damage glass when hung, then I use flexi tabs to fix everything together then tape as usual if a shallow frame, but if using a box or deep frame I would use a wood fillet screwed at the back then tape if you want to
