Hi Guys,
Last weekend whilst using my Keencut Excalibur 5000 there was a loud pinging noise that came from the cutting head, an investigation revealed the torsion spring which returns the head was in two bits. I phoned Keencut and they have sent me a new spring, they also said they would include instructions on how to fit it, which they haven't.
Can anyone post a photo of their cutting head with the spring in situ as I have no idea how it fits back in, sods law, you never pay any attention to something until it breaks, then it's too late.
Hope someone can assist
Cheers
Mark

Re: Excalibur 5000
I will post a pic on Monday for you, I have made a small modification to mine to prevent the aluminium housing waring away from the spring leg rubbing on it, the mod will also fix a worn one wich causes springs to catch and bend or snap.

the plastic cover I made out of the middle of a till roll, it has a little grove in it for the spring leg to fit in.

Re: Excalibur 5000
Excellent,
thanks for that, I'll rig it up in the morning. I know it's usable without the spring but it does feel a bit alien.
Cheers
