medal cleaning

Hi All i have a customer that wants some medals framing but wants to clean them first what can i reccomend him to clean them with?

Be very careful. Nearly all metal polish is abrasive to some extent.
Also do not get any cleaner on the ribbons.

Try using a rubber pencil eraser. Takes a long time though and difficult to get into the area around any text.
