Vertical CMC?
I have a SMART CMC, which does exactly what it says on the tin......quite basic when compared to Valiani, Gunnar ect. I am thinking of upgrading to an 'all singing all dancing' CMC........BUT.......due to space restrictions, it has to be virtually upright (The Smart is, that's why I got it) and fit on floor space of 3' x 7' max (The Smart is on a stand). Any suggestions, folks?

Re: Vertical CMC?
I reinforced the top of my plan chest and my F1 Hybrid sits happily on top of it. The computer on the left works fine for me, the real fiddle is I have to photograph the pressure gauge on the side to check the level after I adjust it, which fortunately is not often.
I had been set up in this space for 3 years, and thought that it was pretty full. I sat with a cup of coffee at least once a week and dreamed of fitting in a CMC, Hotpress, and Keencut 5000 into my space that appeared full to the gunnels. I then realised that half of the 4m the storage bench and the top of the plan chest were largely storing accumulated crap so with a ruthless clearout the bench was halved allowing the 44" printer to move giving room for the Keencut, obviously CMC on the chest and, thanks to Prospero, the Hotpress under a hinged top on a work bench.
You may already be using the space as efficiently as you can would it is always worth taking 5 minutes with a good cup of coffee to try and think outside the box!

380 square feet here - gets a bit crowded if we have more than 2 people in at once!
