SO the profile picture.
How on earth do you get it down to 6KiB?
I did a test and saved a 100x100 pure white .jpg set to its lowest quality and it still came in well over 6KiB.
Any Suggestions?

Did you try the GIF format?

As I was also trying to convert larger size into 6 KiB but got failed after many practices. I will try your idea of changing the extension or will save it at gif format. I think it may be helpful.
