How can you know items are sold?

Hello, I notice many times that an item is advertised for sale, then after a while a potential buyer will send a post such as 'is the item still for sale?'
I have wasted time only to be told that the item had been sold
Maybe it should be accepted etiquette that after an item is sold the seller should post something like: 'this item is now sold, thank you'. Just a thought.
Anyway, having been unable to find a used mountcutter (wouldn't trust most on ebay), I'm resigned to buying a new Keencut Ultimat Futura, although it's out of my budget really.
So if anyone has a quality, used mountcutter perhaps they would kindly let me know. I don't think a Fletcher would work for me because of where it will be situated and that the squaring arm, I believe, needs a screwdriver, allen key and wrench each time it's removed/put back on, whereas the Keencut arm just slots in and out
Thanks, Roy
