Hi everybody, are there any ww1 uniform specialists out there. Got pip, squeak & wilfred plus RFA cap badge & dog tag &3 photo's to mount. Also have a material badge in the shape of 4 blue chevrons denoteing 4years service. Question is which way do the chevrons point, up or down.Your help will be much appreciated.

I think I would have a good gooogle around. There will be people on forums like this who know just about
every detail of military uniform conventions and will only be too pleaded to tell you what's what. :D

This website gives some background to why they were issued.

As they are all blue it would be for service after 1914. Looking at various images online and photos of army and navy personnel with them on the uniform it looks like the point should be at the top, so an upside down V shape.
