CASSESE MACH 4 - DISABLE CLAMPS?

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to disable the rebate clamps on the Cassese Mach 4 as we need to pin some mouldings without leaving a mark on them. Have thought about putting the metal spacer guide in front of the moulding but don't want to damage the teeth on the clamps.

There is nothing obvious in the user manual and I can't find a support forum specific for Cassese. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Don't know the machine, but you could try putting strips of mountboard between to act as the cushion.

Thanks Prospero, I'll give that a try.

We usually just make a chevron out of a piece of flat planed timber and put that in front. That does the trick.

When we join slips and spacers, we have a few bits of oak moundling (simons oak/0007) faced with mountcard which we place between the clamps and the spacers/slips, the mountcard side against the slip/spacer works a treat. We use oak so that the clamps don't destroy these bits of sacrificial bits of woods within 2 mins , and the mountcard soften the oak against the slip/spacers, so will not leave any marks
