Jolly Good Framer Exam Question for JGF#1

Post by sarah »

I may have over stepped the mark.

But there was a user on our stand who is a very enthusiastic forumite and very grateful for all the help she has been getting from all on here!

I asked if she wanted to do her JGF exam (you know the very difficult can you frame question) she said yes so I said 'congrats you're a JGF.'

Hope that was ok

Maybe there is more to the exam that I didn't know.

I am that very enthusiastic framer that Sarah was talking about, and it was such a relief to have passed the test although there was a moment of tension. ':?'
Does this mean that I can now legitimately order sime JGF items ( I am itching to get a tote bag) and wear them with pride?
Thanks Sarah for breaking the ice and making me welcome even though i was concerned that I took more from the forum than I put in. I will endeavour to be braver and contribute more.
Many thanks to all

Hey Michelle! Nice to read you! Congrats on your new JGF status!! 8)
I was concerned that I took more from the forum than I put in.
If it's any comfort, I feel exactly the same way most of the time. I've only been framing for 2½ years, and there's very little that I can offer on the technical side of thangs compared to some of the extremely experienced members. Nevertheless, I find that by asking questions (I'm especially good at the the numpty ones!), the discussions that follow have been invaluable to my learning and progress.

Jump on in, Michelle, the more the merrier. And the craic is ninety!!

come on in the water is lovely....

even the older more experienced members learn something all the time... my mother is seeing things with a whole new light, she has been framing for 16 years now and is constantly trying to better her self!

lovely to hear from you Michelle!

Congratulations to all who achieved membership with full marks in the JGF test.

With a following wind, I might manage a mark of 33% :(

Please submit your exam paper for marking and we can see what you get.
(please note: the examiners are not open to bribes, so please don't try to force £20 notes into my hand, well maybe just this once)

Michelle, great to see you at the show, even better to see you on the forum.

I should have confessed that i will never be able to pass my JGF, simply cause I fail on all counts.

I'm rarely Jolly - default is usually mildly pissed off.
I'm never good
Can do the framing bit but would rather not!

But so pleased to see you. And remember give as good as you get!!

Many thanks for the offer of membership (through the back door). But I’m afraid we fall at the first hurdle. Item number one.

You see, if we were to take you up on it, then when Trading Standards come a calling to check for compliance, the chances are that when measured, it’s not just that the jollity level will be found to be zero, but they will discover that the coefficient of grumpiness is right off the scale, probably beyond what is humanly possible to measure.

Jolly Good try John. There you are two out of three, now all you have to do is get a bit of practice framing.

Good heavens, there's framing involved?

As well as being jolly and good?

These standards are way too high!

I'm off back to the Guild.

Far easier. :)

You & Sarah seemed jolly enough when I brought those king sized coffees over, John!

Now that's another matter.

You would have to be a right miserable sod not to have your mood elevated a tad when your life has just been saved.

Many thanks Spit. And by the way, I'm not sure that I'm buying that guff about the price of the coffees being covered by the remainder of the float from the night before.

Thanks also to Birdman who performed a similar service under extremely difficult circumstances on the Sunday.
