John any advice on procedure when moving estlite onto a new pc - I always seem to lose some vital aspect - the price setup tables - cutomer jobs etc.

I have got a new version of est up and running on new pc - have transferred the data files. any suggestions welcomed.

The easiest way to move the program: -

1) Install it on the new computer by running the install file (estsetup.exe). This sets up the shortcuts on your desktop and quicklaunch bar.

2) copy the entire Est folder (c:\Program Files\Est) from your old computer and place it on your new one at the same location. When asked if you want to replace/overwrite the files on your new machine, say yes to all.

This way you are guaranteed to have an identical setup on your new computer.
