Re: What's Happened
I think it's nicer.
Only thing I notice is when I submit a post, I get the message "The specified search backend doesn’t exist."
and it doesn't automatically return to the topic. The replies show OK.
Also the FF logo at the top left doesn't display correctly.

Re: What's Happened
I not complaining, at first I thought I had landed in the wrong forum
All the stuff down the left hand side has gone, but saying that, hardly any of the links worked anyway

Re: What's Happened
The forum software has been updated.
Although up and running, it is still a work in progress.
For example, The specified backend now exists.
There's still a bunch of stuff to do. So haven't yet got round to helping those folk who would prefer not to quote

Re: What's Happened
The update of the forum has coincided with me getting a new (refurbished) desk top pc and things have never worked better
this new machine fires up straight away, no time to make a cuppa, and pics appear instantly for the first time.
Thank you John for all your hard work
Peter.
ps Steve, would you like my quote button? as I am happy to use these " "

Re: What's Happened
I am being asked to log in a number of times during a session. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Peter, sorry to hear about this.
Under what circumstances are you being asked to log in?
Is it happening at random?
Does it happen often?
Who is your internet provider?

Re: What's Happened
Good evening John
It was happening as I went from one part of your site to another but it has definitely stopped since I clicked on the "remember me" box
Sorry for being such a muppet and thank you for replying.

Re: What's Happened
I'm having the same problem as peter, each time I visit the forum, I notice that it does not remember me
so I have to login, but it take at least 2 attempts, I even tick the 'Remember Me' box, but it doesn't
even when I'm doing this post and press Preview or Submit , it ask me to login, then when I login, this text box is empty

I've cleared my web history, cookies, the lot.
Hopefully that will sort it. Fingers crossed.

Re: What's Happened
I've tried just clearing my history for today, and so far it seems to have done the trick, I'm using FireFox normally , but I just tried using Chrome to come on the Forum and same thing happened

Re: What's Happened
Can't log-in on my laptop,now!
Can we have the "keep me logged in" button back instead of the rather sinister incognito button?

Re: What's Happened
Sorry VF we are stuck with what the forum software has given us.
However, I think the Remember Me is a re-branded Keep Me Logged In button
