I want to buy a printer.....

Hello everyone
So basically I want to buy a printer - something good, good reproduction that will give lasting results etc etc. I'll be printing nothing bigger than A3 I reckon, I don't know what to buy though, do I just stick to a cheapish consumer model or is it worth the extra and get something at the low end of the commercial market?
