large print mounting on mount board as a background

Morning all
A question for CMC users and those with large laminators.
I know you don't get the best results laminating prints to mount board (marble effect) and a proper substrate board like display board or foam core should be used.
Does anybody have a mount board that they get good results on mounting large prints on and cutting a mount out of it on a cmc machine? Thus still having a good bevel, or would it be better to have a double mount, one of display board and then a normal board.
