Can any one use a tub each of Mould Powder (Lion part 1380) and Fine Casting Plaster (Lion Part 1553). I've had them lying about the workshop for years and I'm never going to use them now. Not sure if they go off. If anyone wants them they can PM me with their address.

Indeed, the emphasis on old as in ex (we had to close it over a year ago). Three mile e/w trip to the next one, and the wife's out with the grandchildren, so no car until later this afternoon.

I take it you don't find it too useful? I was going to have a go anyway, broaden the skills and all that.

:D It's just one of the concoctions that you but thinking "That looks handy". You have play about with it and never touch it again. :?

Far as I can remember, it does what it says on the can.

Maybe we should start a swap-your-white-elephants topic. One mans kelter is another mans treasure sort of thing. 8)

I'm all for that. I hate to throw anything out if someone else can use it. I'm having a clearout in the workshop this weekend. I'm sure I'll find more stuff I can get rid of....er....pass on to someone else.

Think I started a topic on this once - but anyway.

I have this 'stack' of mouldings - promotional/discontinued/couldn't sell it/whatever.

It's the 'turnitintoreadymades' stack. Last time I tackled it I made more ready mades than I could display or store sensibly and hardly made any impression on it!

Then there are my storage racks, or shelves - overflowing - avalanche country.

The nights are getting longer and summer is on it's way. Before Autumn the clag will be gone. There is enough here that I don't want - to start a business with. Turn up with a van, preferably on a Sunday and it's all yours.

There is a pub across the road - so bring a driver as well!

I've got every colour of the rainbow, but then again I use Plasticine.

It's really easy:

Brush washing up liquid onto the area to take an impression from.

Press a lump on Plasticine into the area.

Remove again. (Easy as the washing up liquid act as a release agent)

Put the plasticine into the freezer to get rock hard. (Do not remove washing up liquid).

Press the moulding medium of your choice into the mould and allow to set.

Allow time to set and Plasticine to warm to room temperature and peal off plasticine.

Done.

May be we could start a freecycle* type thing here.
If you have something that’s ‘free to a good home’ post it on here and someone could have it who would make use of it.

*if you don’t know what freecycle is click here

Hi Mary! :)

If it's not too much to post 'em to Ireland, I'll bagsy them, pretty please, if no-one has beaten me to it. However, if the postage cost is daft, I'll duck out happily.
