Hi, I have a hgp360 vacuum heat press in need of a service. It’s struggling to get to vacuum, it does get there but takes a while. Has anyone got any suggestions? or know if there’s a service centre in the southwest? I think I remember hearing there’s one in Bristol?
Thanks!

Hi
I think you are thinking of https://www.drytac.com/, just had a quick look at the website, but can't see anything about machines,

I would try Wessex Pictures as they sell the presses,

depending on how long and what you are using it for, if the pump is okay, sucking fine, then it could be the rubber membrane that gets sucked up the the glass top, which make the presure, we (where I used to work) used to use the press for making 'Blockmount' bonding onto 12mm MDF, after a couple of years of doing this we found the rubber membrane had stretched so would not keep the presure

Hope you sort it

I've heard it said that a layer of felt under what you are trying to use under the item being dry mounted can sometimes enable air flow underneath and help to pull a more evenly distruted vacuum. This is supposed to be helpful sometimes!

Google Drytac/Hotpress and give them a call. Their headquarters and service centre is in Bristol. The engineer is great, he's happy to problem solve over the phone if possible.
Honestly, best to speak to the engineer.
