When I started framing I used a sloping bench, this has long gone as I need large flat areas now.

Does anyone still use a sloping bench?

I can see the virtue if you were using it for a dedicated glass cutting bench, but otherwise flat all the way for me.

Always used a flat bench. I used a sloped bench a few times when at a gallery workshop and found it awkward, but i guess it is what you are used to.

I heard about people with back problem using sloped benches, but I don't think that is is a very coomon practice. I have an A0 tilting drawing board and stand which sometimes is useful, when sitting down and doing has more to do with restoration work and touching up old oil paintings with areas of missing paint which needs touching up. Why this is useful, has more to do with the viewing angle while working than anything else!

No way, my pencil would roll off all the time, let alone my coffee spilling :Slap: :giggle:
