A job in hand is a drawing, on paper which had been fixed to a backing paper using spraymount. Fortunately I've been able to separate the drawing from the backing paper, but it's left the reverse of the drawing slightly tacky, albeit not tacky enough to stick to any other surface. Is the residual adhesive going to cause any damage, in addition to whatever deterioration is caused by the acid present in the paper itself? I don't suppose I can do anything about it anyway, but I'd just be interested to know.

I have had similar in the past quite a couple of years back and it hasn't had any ill effects yet. I go several times a year to do jobs for the customer and check it every time and saw it about 2 months back. What does make me chuckle is that was the only thing i framed for her and is the only one free of thunder flies.

Big props for getting it off at all. As for conservation, the damage has already been done. Not your problem.
