I have a morso but due to lack of use ,i am selling up,but wanted
to occasionally make frames, i was thinking of a mitre trimmer,
the table top ones. i get how they are used but how do you cut the mouldings
to the same length?

You can work to a outside dimension and mark the moulding on the back with a pencil line even with masking tape to protect the finish,

Hi
Cut the moulding using a mitre saw, leaving about a mill or two extra (I use the one from Stanley - seems to cut most wood). Then use the mitre trimmer to literally just trim off a tiny bit if wood from all 8 ends. This will ensure your lengths and mitres are all spot on. Whatever you do don't cut the wood using the trimmer. The clue is in the name. They are excellent bits of kit and you can make professional looking frames for very little investment. This was how I was taught to make frames at the Working Mens College in Camden. Good luck.

a measuring scale. the advice given would do the job without the expense of this though.
