Help with moulding

Hi,

I have a client who wants me to match to the frame pictured.

The frame is dark green and measures 20mm deep x 35mm wide.

I've looked at Lion, Centrado, DJ Simons and Larson Juhl... but no luck.

Has anybody got any ideas where I might find some of this moulding please?

Thanks in advance,

Gary

That looks to be a hand finished frame

'Been ages since anyone mentioned - Handfinishing!

Here's how to do that frame.
The moulding is A40 obeche from R&H.
Make the frame then buy this stain from E bay, Antique Green

It's a good idea to also buy Walnut and Plum Mahogany. You can use these colours to match the green more if needed.
Think of Walnut as a base colour and use the Mahogany to warm it up a bit.

Apply two coats of stain with a cotton rag and when both are dry, you need to seal in the stain with shellac sealer

You can rub this on with a rag if you wish, or use a brush.
Dilute it 50/50 meths and once again apply two coats.
Next day, rub the finish back with 0000 wire wool, wipe it clean and apply two coats of your favourite wax.
