Hi, just thought I would introduce myself.

I have just bought some framing equipment and getting into framing as a serious hobby. I have a background in timber milling and timber machining, and we sold our business 5 years ago.
I have a Morso Guillotine - with a pneumatic powered arm. A Keencut steeltrack glass and foam board cutter, a Cassese manual foot v nailer, and a Logan Platinum matt board cutter - haven't used this yet. Really happy with everything so far.
I have mainly been doing solid timber and having more luck than the prefinished mouldings. I am getting scratch marks on the prefinished moulding against the inside fence of the morso. When the blade comes up, it gets stuck in the moulding and rings the moulding up, therefore scratching it against the fence.
Any ideas? Or do I post this in another section.

Anyway looking forward to getting to know you more. I have already learnt a heaps from reading other post.

The Morso problem is common, to solve it just pull the blades back a bit before raising them.

Welcome to TFF :-)

Hi Rhett,
Welcome to the forum!
I clean the face of my blades with a PTFE lubricant spray like GT85, they love it!
