Big coin thingy

Post by JKX »

As you can maybe imagine from the text in this job, the customer was a slight geek!

He was concerned about the type of adhesive l would use, but he knew you could buy acrylic click/together coin holders - could we maybe get one fabricated for this?

I told him not to worry, I was the first framer in Europe to achieve PFG status and am still one of only two, and I would fabricate a non-adhesive method. When the details were explained he asked if he could watch!!

You can probably see how it’s done by zooming in.

All design totally the customer’s - alternatives were offered!

Ok - well it was a shaped melinex mount, a “spider”

Customer’s attempt shown.

Not long after this my old valiani software terminally crashed so I had to upgrade it. With it I could have cut this with anal precision - well I could with the old software if I knew coreldraw.
