Just been deleting a load of emails and read this one. Thought its worth sharing .The writer is Tony Gallagher a friend of mine from years ago. He sold mouldings all over the Middle East 1970- 1990 when mouldings were even made in UK. He worked for Magnolia, who were a huge UK distributor and exporter, later bought by Larson Juhl.

I have a great Morso story. As Export Sales Executive for the Magnolia Group, I sold a Morso to a framer in Kuwait in the late 1980s.
Some time after delivery, I received a message that the Morso was totally inoperable as it had seized. I suggested every solution I could come up with, to no avail.
Eventually, I flew out to Kuwait to resolve the issue. Shortly after my arrival at the client's gallery, I realised that the long retaining bolt that secures the blades in transit was still in place. Once I had removed this, the Morso functioned perfectly.

Now the worrying issue here was that my client kept the gallery where the Morso was situated as a business on the side, as his daytime employment was with Kuwait Air,✈️ servicing engines on Airbuses......:faintthud:

That's a good one Keith.

I've heard examples of people who are highly qualified in highly technical fields who can't wire an electrical plug.

I, as well, have known several individuals who had impeccable educational degrees with no common sense.

As an example one of my mothers friends was a Phi Betta Kappa liberal arts major in college. Dumb as a doorbell in real life.
