Hi, has anyone tried the metal chutes for universal wedges? I have a Cassese pneumatic underpinner and have had enough stock of the plastic filled cartridges until now. I heard that the metal chutes weren't great. I saw a post on here and looked at UK frame supplies, but can't find chutes. I can get from Centrado, but don't want that sort of outlay if they don't work.
Thanks

You can reuse the plastic ones.

How? Do you need to take the white bit out?

With a bit of brute force and ignorance you can 'persuade' the pushers out. You have to snap off the little ratchet prongs.
You do have to take care with handling the afterwards as the wedges can drop out but once in the machine you are good.
I don't think I have ever bought any in cartridges.

I have some of the plastic cartridges left, but they are getting a bit ragged, so I have also bought a couple of the AA+ ones from Centrado. Yes they are expensive, but much more convenient, easy to change from HW to SW wedges, and they work well. They are also tax deductable!

We have ud=sed the metal chutes for years they are much better than the plastic ones and the wedges feed better. I do have some spare new ones will look for them if you would like to buy any, will be cheaper than regular suppliers. 07790498314 Dave
