Why is that when I send a message to another user, the message sits in the outbox for days?

They stay there until the recipients have opened them.
I think you can opt to have email notifications of PMs, otherwise they’d have to be logged in to the forum to see they have a message.

Ah, okay! So it sounds like that have been "sent" in the true sense, just awaiting being read. Thanks John
