Extending the frame rebate.

Someone was asking recently about how to extend the frame rebate. Here's one I just did using 18mmx5mm Obeche barewood spacer from Rose and Hollis. Fixed with glue and a new headless pinner (https://www.axminstertools.com/axminste ... Country=GB), possibly the cheapest framing tool I have ever bought, highly recommended!
I like to brush some stain on the sides after, to blend in the extension.

Rose&Hollis do a flat beveled section that is meant as a slip (A293). Thing is, if you mitre it with the bevel outwards
it makes a good extender as the bevel can be taken right up to the edge. It's about 27mm wide as I remember.
