Well i have just got off the phone to Keencut , got a price for the plastic site line on my Excalibur 5000 . £46.00 is it me or are they taking the mickey . answers please .
just to confirm its a strip of plastic 18mm x 5 met.

All original parts are ridiculous, in the long run it's probably cheaper to buy spare machines for parts!

I'm not sure what it is, but if it's a piece of plastic could you not get someone with a 3D printer to make one?

As an aside, my Excalibur didn’t have a sight strip so I bought one. I have never got round to fitting it. You may find you are fine without one.

A friend has a 3d printer will give him a shout.
BTW the sight line is the strip of plastic sitting behind the long clamp that holds material in place.

I decided to put the sight strip on today as was sitting forlornly in the spare parts box.

It really is just a clear flexible plastic strip with sticky tape along one edge. Stick it in place then trim with the blade once fitted. I think a 3D printer would be overkill, you could fashion one out of any thin sturdy bendy plastic.

Probably best idea.
