Maybe they booted me off for excessive punning... :(

Had a really good one that I didn't get to post last night. (Well, I think it's good... :? )

I'll try a reboot this end...

I was working on something for the latter meself, but it wouldn't have been as good as yours. (No change there then!)

Thanks Prospero. No problem accessing The G after rebooting. Don't know what the problem was. :?

Bambi...

So I see.

What's with Jack and the nuns? And Mr Crowe? My brain isn't functioning this early on a Sunsay afternoon. :|

Bit of a cop-out asking me here... :P

The answer to the Jack/Nuns is on the G.

PS...

I owe you one or two over the music quizzes. If you want hints, check your VM on the G.

PPS... Prospero, after all those convoluted "hints" you gave me on the music quizzes last year (when I nearly ended up looking like Peter Gabriel's sister ), I have no shame whatsoever in getting you back this arvo with the puns. :P  I just loved every minute of it. In fairness, I didn't set out to create a "cryptic" link with the intention of stumping you. Honest guv! Of course, I have not ruled out the possibility that you may have just been humouring me... :?

I am the only SGF in the British Isles - unless Dermot reactivates an old account somehow!

At time of posting I have exactly 365 posts to go for PFG (Picture Framing God), reckon I'm looking at about June - and after that, when someone brings in a HK oil on blue canvas, I'll be picking it up by one corner with just the tips of the nails of index finger and thumb and saying 'Is this a piece of your brain?'

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!

If you would care to start a suitably contrversial thread on TFG, I'm sure a spamfest could be arranged to hasten your deification. :JC:

I would never be a part of such naughtiness of course. :itwasntme:

I just knew that a UK SGF could not resist a reply somewhere on this forum about HK oils..

It is quite easy to increase post hits by one line replies or even using the warped topic.

Not a case of not being able to resist - I hate them with a vengeance and may mention it from time to time -maybe I should start a thread and have done with it, sure it's been done already though.

I've never made a post on TFG or anywhere else with 'post boosting' in mind, I do quite well without having to!

Fair to say that these days I'm more active in 'warped' than anywhere else though, and far less active in general than I have been. Here I'm more active in the serious threads but still pushing 3500 posts and I joined this forum a long time after I joined TFG.

This was just a bit of a laugh - as of course is the whole 'ranking' system on TFG I couldn't care less if my post count was reset to zero, there or here. But regards the oils bit, I'd never do that of course, but it is already how I carry them to the workshop, using similar words, but to my framer :D

In the past 20 years I have framed hundreds of Hong Kong oils, maybe a couple of thousand. It is a fact that without them I’d be even poorer than I am today.

I regret the demise of the HK oil, perhaps there will be a renaissance.:)
