Framing Postage Stamps
Customer (I hope) brought in two dozen postage stamps, loose, that he would like framed. Cannot find much information on how to do this. There is a product (Hawid Clear Mounts) consisting of two sheets of clear plastic for mounting stamps. This was on a philatalist web site (Kenmore) and assumed people knew how it works. I don't. Also something called Hingless Stamlp Album - imported from Yurup. Any advice?

This is what framers and collectors use in the US. http://www.showgard.com/

They consist of a clear polyester strip with black overlapping flaps covering the back.
You can get these strips from stamp collector shops.... Order the height you want ( in mm's) ---- trim to the width wanted and then insert the stamp. You hinge the item to the mount board using the back flap of the sleeve.

Or have a word with Barrington Smith and get their catalogue, who from memory are in Oadby, near Liecester. They will ask for proof that you are a bone-fide business as they only supply to the trade. It's an interesting catalogue and for at least some of us, it'll be useful to have.
