Glazing advice needed

Post by WelshFramer »

Can anyone help. Had a phone call from Gwent College. They have a picture that is currently framed with perspex (or at least, some sort of plastic) but they've found it's too reflective so need something that is reflection controlled.

The problem is that the picture is 3-dimensional - the frame is 4 inches deep and

... wait for it ...

6 foot by 4 foot.

Standard non-reflective styrene would obviously make the art too fuzzy.

Any ideas?

What's the betting that when they get the quote they will suddenly decide that maybe it's not all that reflective as it is.

I'm not sure, but I think the only 6mm G&M sell is Tru Vu Optium. Last time I had a quote it was £700 per sq m cut to size - but that's only if they can do it from offcuts - otherwise you have to buy a whole sheet at (about) £3750 :D
