Acrylic Domes

First look at the acrylic domes (available from Lion catalogue 41 p94)

They look good and are quite easy to use, however just a couple of tips: -
  • Keep the object, mount, etc. as free from dust as possible.
  • Remove the plastic protective film at the last possible moment.
  • Have some sort of support ready to hold the frame high enough to allow the dome to clear your work surface.

Polystyrene supports from discarded packaging are gentle on the moulding.

Good Photos. We have been using these for about two years now. Excellent for all types of flowers.
One of our local W.I. ladies takes part in many competitions with flowers made with icing sugar. They look superb in these domes.

One word though. You do need to put 'Silica Gel' capsules in a little bag and make a little trap door in the back of the box frame, so that they can be taken out and 'dried' about every 9 months.
