A footprint of about 24x18" for the main body - height not an issue. To the left you need a bit more than the longest length of moulding you are likely to handle and to the right a bit more than the longest length you are likely to cut, which could well be longer than the arm/scale, so - to be safe, same again!

The main area in my shop is 12ft wide by 18ft long and my morso needs almost all of the 18ft along one side.

The measurement scale is able to measure upto 1.5 metre (about 5ft), but needs more than that for space and since a 3 metre length of moulding is abot 10ft long, you will need more than 15ft.

I've heard of a framer having a Morso under the stairs in his shop and a hole cut between two of the steps to allow mouldings to poke through.

Perhaps someone should start a thread about things which are done so that Morso's can be accomodated.

I believe a Morso needs just about 16ft. which in some ways is unfortunate because that is about the length of a domestic garage hence the proliferation of "Garage Framers".........

But, we all have to start somewhere.......

My workshop is a 12'x12' room ( formerly a dining room, but hey who needs to entertain) and my Morso has to be angled to Poke full lengths out the door into the next room.

Looks like I will be around most of next week other than Wednesday morning, I'm away to have a look at a CMC type CAD machine used for boxmaking.
