I saw the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain do something similar - a selection of songs intertwining in and out of each other, all based on the first ever pop song, they said, which was Sympathy for the Devil. Glorious stuff.

Things have advanced since I was in a band. In those days we only needed to learn three chords.
