We are open from 9 - 5:30 Mon - Sat. We believe that half days are a thing of the past, but we have staff; we each (my wife and I) take a day off each in the week, its's flexible - sometimes we won't - sometimes it'll be two mornings or afternoons each - depends on what we want to do, if anything.

Our shop is a nice place to be!

Sometimes we also take a Monday off together - giving us what we call an 'off-peak weekend'

We live a stone's throw from our shop, so we cut it fine at 9 (I'm a poet don't ya know it!)

Our displayed opening hours are "Mon - Sat 0900 (approx) - 17:30 (exactly)"

What's yours?

Do you close for lunch? (we don't)

Would you close for a day, or even for an hour, ad-lib, for any reason? (we would die first)

I take the weekend off - well sort of -Sunday and Monday. having said that, I often spend most of Monday on paperwork or some work related project. shop hours - whatever's neccesary, but my kids often turn up at 5.30 expecting to go home. I decided to close on Mondays some years back - it made absolutly no difference to my turnover - I just work that bit harder on the remaining week. Dont close for lunch - get in early if really busy.

We open 6 days a week. 9 - 4.30. Wed 9 -3. We do not close for lunch either.

As there are only the two of us, my wife and I take a day off each when we can.

Yes I do close when I want to or have to. Like at the moment with wife in hospital. I am my own boss, so why not. A courteous explanatory note on the door helps a lot and we have had no complaints. Rural town life really.

Usually in the shop at 8.30, catching up with paperwork and post etc. We used to stay open until 5.30. However, after a lot of research, we found that we spent more money making and drinking tea than we took over the counter in that last hour. Again Rural town life, the place effectively closes down after 4.

After 32 years in the military on a life of 24/7, this life is good and I intend to enjoy it and not work myself or wife into the ground.

We open 9.30 - 5pm.

But because we are working in the workshop we often let people know that we will be here until 6pm. Don't close for lunch and My Dad works a 6 day week I get a day off - Thankfully.
