Trying to find a specific moulding

Post by Clarry »

Hi

I have a customer who has damaged a frame she got from Kindercast and is trying to replace it as she has three or four others the same.

Kindercast have gone out of business and I now have the task of trying to find the exact moulding.

It's a brushed gold frame and is fairly deep as you can see from the pictures.

If anyone can suggest where to find it or what it's called that would be great, failing that I think it's an up sell job and try to re frame all four. She is a bit against this because she really likes this frame.

Thanks Ric.

There seems to be two different mouldings in your photos, one a deep-rebated silver with a bevel and one a flat shallow-rebated gold?

The top photo is the one that is damaged and currently sat in my workshop.

I used the link the customer gave me and hadn't noticed that they were different!

It's the deep rebated one, I'm not sure if it's arcadia (link)

It looks promising??

It looks very much like it, and seeing as the reference starts with a '7' and it's from the Arqadia 'essentials' range (read 'cheap') it's the sort of thing at the sort of price a company like that would use. Ask Arqadia for a sample.

I'm pretty sure that's the one.

Thanks for the confirmation.
