Rally trophy

Has any of you peoples have any experience framing a reasonably large (360 mm diameter) but really heavy trophy plate (aronund 1 kg), behind glass that is. This is what I found to attach it to the backing without buggerizing with the integrity of the piece: http://www.platestands.com.au/products/ ... ng-Hangers. Do you guys know of anything better?

I would tend to make my own rather than trust a ready made one. But I haven't done a lot of this, so I will leave further advice to the experts. :P
