Moulding identity?

Post by lampie512 »

Hi all.
A customer has given me 6 34" x 24" posters to frame and wants them to match the moulding of one they had done a few years ago.
I thought it would be easy to match up the moulding, basic black cushion,( I have found a thinner version A+T 995.04, for their other prints, 10 jobs in total), but am drawing a blank so far on the larger version.

Any ideas?

Thanks in anticipation.

A photo and some dimensions would be handy.

It certainly would, and when I view the original post there is a photo of the moulding with a tape measure against it?

Here's the direct link to the photo if anyone's not seeing the picture in post #1

I have a moulding sample that looks bang on, typically it does not have a code number written on the back, I think it came from Simons but is not in the current catalogue.

Page 145 in the Wessex catalogue, ref D3330 looks very close.

Thankyou for the pointer.
It does look close and I'll order a sample and run it past the customer.
Also B1456 is an ideal match for shape but not as wide.

Would an inch wide moulding be sufficient for a 36" x 24" poster with a back board and acrylic glazing I wonder?

Thanks again for the advice.

All the best,
