Happy new year everybody,
My new years resolution is to work towards a really neat and tidy shop and workshop. This is easier said that done, because of the massive volume of materials and equipment, which just does not fit into such small premises.
So in the coming days, I'm constructing a new shop counter with display space underneath for ready made frames and also constructing two new 4ft x 8ft display boards for moulding samples. I am also disposing of a large quantity of moulding which just does not sell anymore, plus all those left-over which were kept as they should prove useful one day.
I am also changing my mountboard stock over to Artcare and to foam core as my prefered stock of backing board.
Anyone else got any New years resolutions?

Well there is the website and the CMC I just have not had time to sort, there's the constant clutter - all sorts.
So I think my resolution is to become a part-time framer ........ and a full-time personnel manager!
Time to have one good full time manager on the art/frame side with another full-time underling - both capable of both framing and taking the orders.
We've got a superb manageress on the craft/everything else side, with TWO underlings .... and the bleedin' framing and art accounts for 60% of turnover and there's just been ME doing it for the last 4 months!!!
(With help from Mrs R of course - phew that was close!)
